My Happy Place
I'll admit it.
I generally don't chase single-origin coffees.
Give me a thoughtfully crafted blend any day of the week.
Blends let you borrow the best qualities from different growing regions, soften the rough edges, and fine-tune the recipe season after season until every cup feels exactly like it should. Consistency is underrated, and there's a reason Get Out of Bed is my everyday companion.
Then I met this coffee.
This single-origin Papua New Guinea bean politely ignored everything I thought I knew.
Grown in the cool, mist-covered highlands, it delivers a cup that's remarkably balanced for a single origin. Rich cocoa, toasted nuts, gentle sweetness, and just enough bright fruit to keep things interesting—all wrapped in a silky, full-bodied finish that somehow feels both comforting and quietly sophisticated.
It doesn't shout.
It doesn't demand your attention.
It simply settles into the moment.
This isn't the coffee I drink because I need caffeine. It's the one I choose when the work is finished, the porch is quiet, the dog has found a sunny spot, and there's finally time to enjoy a cup instead of just consuming one.
That's why it's called My Happy Place.
It's not trying to wake you up.
It's reminding you to slow down.
